The owners of Stone Tower Winery have purchased a historic bank building in downtown Leesburg and plan to turn the space into a new tasting room.
The Huber family, which owns both Stone Tower Winery and Belfort Furniture, purchased the 1901 building last week, Loudoun Now reported. The owners hosted a pop-up shop featuring both the winery and the furniture store during the Leesburg Flower & Garden Festival to introduce the new space to the community.
Located at the corner of Market and King streets in downtown Leesburg, the building previously held the Loudoun National Bank.
“It is great to see this as it continues the cultural integration of our local wines into our community,” said Doug Fabbioli of Leesburg’s Fabbioli Cellars in a Facebook post about the news. “Congrats to Lacy, Kristi, Mike and the rest of the family and team at Stone Tower and Belfort Furniture. I do believe this can be a win for all of us!”
Downtown Leesburg is also home to a tasting room for October One Vineyard, which grows its grapes on its land in Bluemont.
Until the new space opens permanently, guests can continue to enjoy the offerings at Stone Tower’s main winery. The 300-acre facility, which opened in 2009, is located at 19925 Hogback Mountain Rd., Leesburg.
