See What’s New and Coming Soon to Reston Town Center

Whether you feel like having a romantic date, a shopping day with the girls, or a family outing, Reston Town Center’s dining options are expanding to meet every need. It seems every week there’s a new restaurant being announced — here are some of the exciting new spots that have recently opened or are expected to open soon.

Ice Cream Jubilee

Ice Cream Jubilee just opened up a new location at 11990 Market St. This is the fourth DMV location for the premium ice cream parlor serving up 15 flavors. Residents are already taking a liking to the new spot.

“This is my first time visiting since they opened,” says Reston resident Galina Ostromogolsky, while eating a scoop of Ice Cream Jubilee’s blueberry crisp. “I enjoyed it — five stars!”

Corsica Wine Bar

If wine and noshes are your scene, look forward to the opening of Corsica, a European vino-centric destination serving 30 wines by the glass and 200 wines by the bottle. Starters like warm olives, cheese, and charcuterie will be available, as well as small plates, desserts, and coffees. Though there is no set opening date yet, the restaurant will take over at 11950 Democracy Dr., in the space formerly occupied by Mon Ami Gabi. This would be the second location for the business, which currently operates in Denver, Colorado.

“I’m so excited for Corsica to open,” says Reston resident Stephanie Oliver. “I love tapas and good wine — this is exactly what Reston Town Center needs.”

Shake Shack

Get ready to round up the kids and cart them over to a brand-new Shake Shack that’s planning to emerge at the site of the recently closed restaurant The Counter. The Shake Shack team confirmed that they recently executed the lease for 11922 Democracy Dr. and plan to open in 2025. No further details are available yet, but the popular burger and milkshake chain continues to expand in the region, with outposts in Tysons, Ballston, and inside the Smithsonian’s Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly.

Kusshi Sushi

Sushi lovers, mark your calendars for the opening of Kusshi Sushi, which will open its eighth location at 11909 Democracy Dr. in Reston Town Center. The Japanese restaurant chain specializes in Omakase — where the chef selects a multi-course meal — and modern Japanese dishes like ramen noodles, sushi, soups, tempura, and katsu. Kusshi Sushi is expected to open around November.

Kook Dogg Cafe

Just a few blocks away from Reston Town Center, Kook Dogg Cafe recently opened at 12100 Sunset Hills Rd., taking over where Little Beast Cafe & Bistro vacated earlier this year.

“We’re excited to be a part of the Reston dining scene because it reminds us a lot of Vienna, where we owned Le Canard and later Maplewood Grill,” says Karen Brabrook, Kook Dogg’s general manager. “We love how much community Reston has and hope to become a go-to neighborhood spot!”

The café serves handcrafted sandwiches, pastas, salads, and inventive pizzas (think shrimp scampi and bacon). Lots of shareable starters are on the menu, as well as signature cocktails, wines and beers, and zero-proof options.
