The Colada Shop has locations in the Mosaic District, DC, and Potomac, Maryland.

The Colada Shop’s lively community hubs dish up morning-to-night menus of Havana classics like empanadas, Cuban sandwiches, deeply flavored coffees, and colorful rum-based drinks.

“Coffee [and cocktails] bring people together,” says founder and CEO Daniella Senior.

Clarendon’s vibrant younger crowd looks for lively places to gather over drinks and tasty fare, she says. Thus, the café’s bright colors, dynamic wall murals and tropical plants establish a celebratory vibe.

The café’s breakfast all day, salads, rice bowls, vegetarian dishes, and hearty classics like arroz con pollo appeal to a range of appetites.

Despite the lure of the varied food menu, it’s the colorful, rum-focused classics and inventive concoctions that are likely to steal the day — and evening — as the crowd-pleasing draw.

Besides the bar designed to foster mingling and camaraderie, there’s a spacious interior and patio seating.

The Clarendon location is open from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Wednesdays and from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays. 2811 Clarendon Blvd, Arlington
