De Clieu Coffee & Sandwiches, an Old Town Fairfax staple known for its craft espresso drinks, pastries, and sandwiches, is expanding its Northern Virginia presence. The café has opened a second location in the Legato area of Fairfax on Route 29, and has plans to open a third spot in Reston soon.
Fans of the coffee shop can now visit its second location at 11923 Lee Hwy. in Fairfax. It’s currently in a soft opening stage, with hopes to hold a grand opening around November 21, said Jade Lee, a manager of the original location, in an email. The exact date for the grand opening has not been set.
While there may be some minor menu variations, the new shop offers many of the same items as the original. That includes seasonal specialty drinks like the Maple Leaf Latte and an assortment of breakfast and lunch items. And, while it is run by different owners, “the original team works closely with everyone so that all the syrups, recipes, quality standards, etc. are the same,” Lee said.

And De Clieu is not stopping there. Another location is set to open in Reston in January 2025, Lee said. The new Reston shop will be at 2235 Soapstone Dr.
“We’ve wanted to expand for quite a long time! Like many other businesses, we put the brakes on some of our plans during the worst of the pandemic, but we’ve wanted to branch out within NoVA because we love coffee and have a lot of pride in our recipes,” Lee says.
“This area is our home; our customers have often encouraged us to open more locations, and the community interest and support we’ve received already for both the original location and expansions really means a lot to us. We’re very excited, so please look forward to De Clieu, Reston!”
The flagship location remains open at 10389 Main St., Ste. B, in Fairfax.
